China issued a warning to the United States of America, stressing that it will take decisive measures to protect its sovereignty and national interests in the event of American interference in its internal affairs.
Yang Jiechi, head of the Foreign Affairs Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said his country would take decisive measures to safeguard its sovereignty and national interests in the event of US interference in its internal affairs.
The Foreign Ministry stated that the Chinese official stressed, in a telephone conversation with Jack Sullivan, the US President’s National Security Advisor, that Washington had, over a period of time, taken many “incorrect measures and statements” to interfere in China’s internal affairs and harm Beijing’s interests.
“China will take decisive measures to protect its sovereignty and security interests, and we will turn our words into reality,” he added. [Read Also: Who is Lucy Rae? Woman who feeding spider monkey at zoo]
The Chinese politician pointed out that the Taiwan issue is the most important, sensitive and most important in Sino-US relations, and stressed that if the United States insists on playing the “Taiwan card” and continues on the “wrong path”, it will inevitably lead to a “dangerous situation.”
“We urge the United States to clearly understand the situation, strictly abide by its commitments, and adhere to the one-China principle and the three China-US joint communiques,” he said.
